If you are going to a "new" box, then it will require V5R3... so do it
now, at least the OS. If you are on V5R1 plan on somewhere between 3gb and
4gb extra space being used depending on what you have loaded. The size
estimator will say somewhere around 1.5gb but after PTFs etc it ends up
closer to twice that number. If you are at V5R2 the growth will be less.
In either case your growth should be under 1%.

Upgrade from V5R2 to V5R3

I'd love to upgrade to 7 but need to upgrade to V5R3 first. Does anyone
think there will be an issue with upgrading with the amount of space we
have available:

System ASP . . . . . . ........: 597.8 G
% system ASP used . . : 81.6544

I've cleared all the space I can and we are planning to upgrade to a new
box in about 3 months (hopefully!). Just wondering if it would be wise to
wait and do everything or do it now.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Scott
