If you have Sametime Connect Client 7.0  you just go to 
Options-Preferences and on the Alert Tab deselect "Play  A Sound".  Don't 
know if you are using it integrated into the Notes client though.

This has nothing to do with Domino on ISeries, but does anyone know how to 

turn off the 'Ding" sound on a client when you get an Instant Message?
