FYI - I just received this note from my IBM BP:

Thought I would send you a note to alert you to a potential problem with
ScanMail 2.61.

I received a call yesterday from another iSeries ScanMail client. She
told
me that she was looking to clean up the lptvpn.xxx files in the integrated
file system (IFS) and noticed that the most current release of the pattern
file (lptvpn.927... yesterday's pattern) was NOT present. The Domino
ScanMail Pattern database had the current pattern file denoted and she
received a morning email notification stating that a new pattern was
downloaded. There was nothing that would have indicated that there was a
problem. HOWEVER... The pattern file located in the IFS is the file that
is
used to scan for viruses and therefore they were NOT protected. She
called
ScanMail support and they had her manually download and install the newest
ScanMail engine and virus pattern. ScanMail engines are suppose to be
downloaded and installed automatically. In addition, she learned that
ScanMail 2.61 will be unsupported at the end of the year. This was news
as
well! The new supported release for the iSeries is ScanMail 3.0 FP1.

Please check your Domino directories IFS to ensure that you have the most
current lptvpn.929. If not call ScanMail support to assist you in fixing
the problem.

Regards, Jerry
