Pattern file from hell

Last week, while away at a week's training for Mimix, we got hit with the
pattern file from hell. The fix was to modify our setup to stop
downloading new pattern files and to drop back one version. Until they
came out with a newer pattern file. While working on a case with Trend
today, they asked me if I got hit with that recently. I said yes, and
that's not the first time. The person said they are releasing a hot fix
and will email me a url to ftp down the hotfix that if it can't load a
particular pattern file it may drop back or some such thing. Anyway,
there will be some sort of official statement in this email also.
