We just did an unload/reload from a maxxed out Dedicated Server for Domino
(DSD). It was a model 270-2454 with twenty four 35GB drives. That was
the maximum number of drives, and the maximum drive size, supported in
this unit. We even had the side car.
We loaded it to a 520-7453 lpar. We cut the number of arms in half. Now
we have twelve 70GB drives. We are expecting comparable, if not better
performance. After all, when we last moved a box we dropped from 42 arms
down to 7 and got much better performance.

So far, paging is pretty bad. But with 8 domino partitions trying to
catch up a day's worth of cluster replications, multiple CLREPL jobs
running is beating the snot out of it. I think we didn't put enough
memory in it. Boss snagged some memory from an inactive lpar and
allocated it to this one (for now).
