Any special reasons why to turn the feature completely off - why not
prolong the time to 15 minutes or 20 minutes...

Apparently Domino R7 added an autokill feature. If you end your domino
servers controlled, and normally wait 15 minutes before trying to end them
immediate (if still running) you may see that they try to end themselves
immediately after 5 minutes. Which may be a spanking good way to leave
orphaned semaphores, shared memory and MEMCHECK stuck to a point you have
to run ENDJOBABN to kill it.

You can either stretch this time out, or drop it to zero seconds which
disables it.

Server doc, Basics tab, Automatic server recovery section, Server Shutdown
Timeout.

I am going to turn this off on all 20+ of my i5 based domino servers.
