Have not seen a "Best Practices" for R8 but the R6 and R7 manuals
suggested upgrading the Administrator then "Domino Directory and Admin4"
followed by the Admin server then remaining servers. I used that strategy
for my earlier upgrades. I was planning to use that same methodology to
upgrade our environment to R801 over several weeks to coordinate with our
scheduled backups.

Checked with IBM support yesterday and they suggested not upgrading
"Domino Directory and Admin4" separately and not run R801 "Domino
Directory and Admin4" on my R702 servers. Not sure best way to prevent the
upgrade of "Domino Directory and Admin4" on the waiting servers to
upgrade. Any comments on why the previous "Best Practices" may not be
correct for R801?
