The Java Console is a stand-alone GUI console viewer. Look for
JCONSOLE.EXE in your Notes folder on an Admin PC (may be an installable
option, not sure).
The setting you refer to enables/disables viewing of the console for the
AS/400 (not ON the AS/400).
I use it extensively for our Windows servers, but use WRKDOMCSL and
console.log instead for our AS/400.

And it being set to yes at server startup? Currently it is set to no.
I can get to webadmin.nsf and login ok but the tabs in the configurations
document (for smtp) don't appear. Is this because the JSC hasn't been
started?
