Yes I do have that set to Basic. I also have the Release 6.5.4/6.0.5 set
to no and the Install Type set to Notes client only. Thanks for the
clarification on the from and to, I thought it was the client you were
installing. Thanks for the reply. Bill.

Re: Help Smart Upgrade kit

I'm going out on a limb here, because this bit me the first time...

For the "This smart upgrade kit..." section, for the "Configuration" you
have to select "Notes Basic" - this is not the config you're upgrading TO,
but the one your upgrading FROM.

Does anybody have the Smart Upgrade Kit working for a 7.0.2 to 8.0.1
upgrade. I had it set up and working for 6.5 to 8.0.1 when the server
was
7.0.2 but we just upgraded the server to 8.0.1 and Smart upgrade stopped
working. Now we get the error "no matching kit" found. I'm hoping it is
just a setting somewhere I missed. In the Smart upgrade kit settings I
have a * for the source and Lotus Notes 8.0.1 for the Destination
version.
We have not upgraded any of the templates to release 8 yet other the I
did upgrade the template for SmartUpg.nsf thinking that it might need to
be on the newer version. Or if anybody has a better way to get the
clients
to release 8 please let me know. Thanks Bill
