Are you getting any error messages on the install, or does it just seem to
hang ?

Sometimes the Java based install is not real verbose in how it informs the
end user what it's doing, that's one of the reasons I use FTP to get the
LICPGM savf to the iSeries and then do a RSTLICPGM - it's quicker and I
have more confidence that the green screen interface is not going to hang
on me.

Subject:
Domnino 8 install assistance?
Sent by:
domino400-bounces+rlaing=gemko.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Folks:

A co-worker is trying to get Domino 8 installed for testing purposes ...
but he's running into a snag...

I'm installing Lotus Domino Server 8 Enterprise on my iSeries. I run the
setup.exe file from my workstation, give it the system name, username and
password. I select Enterpise install. The install seems to go fine, but
stops at 67%. This is a fresh install as I removed the previous version. I
don't know where the install log is to see what the problem may be.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Because we don't actually use Domino, we don't have any support for it. We
only install it to test the integration with our SCM product (MKS
Implementer).

Thanks!

david
