Hi,

Just say I have a remote user with a large mail file and he gets a new computer.

His new computer has same Notes version etc. but then it comes time to replicate his mail file.

How can I avoid the entire mail replication process when I have a current (or almost current) copy of his mail file on his old PC.

What I am seeing is if I copy the mail file to the new local 'mail' directory and then go to the server copy and choose File | Replication | New Replica it looks like the whole mail file is copied down again and this can take almost 24 hours.

I want Notes to see the existing file in the local mail directory and then just replicate down the changes on the server copy.

Is this possible and what steps do I need to take to get this kind of thing to work? I always end up copying down the whole file.

TIA

Nathan
