Last Thursday we had an inadvertent shut down of TCP, and consequently
Domino went down hard. SMTP was hosed to the point that multiple server
restarts would not allow mail to go out, but we could still receive
external email. The logs just said that SMTP was not responding. (Internal
email was fine.) An IPL Friday night fixed the problem. However it wasn't
until Friday afternoon that we discovered that SMTP wasn't happy and found
that each of our three mail.box's were backed up with outgoing email.

Is there any method to notify the administrators that attention is needed
when outgoing email reaches a certain number/threshold in the mail.boxes?
A config setting or an agent perhaps?

I'm running 8.0.1.

Thanks!

Regards, Jerry
