Save While Active

We use BRMS, and every night end the domino server for backup.

With BRMS is there a preferred/recommended way to backup domino without
ending the server?

I'm not the BRMS guru nor the operator who does the backups, but am
looking to see if it is possible (without replication) to backup one
domino instance, while it is active.

Thanks!

Regards, Jerry
