Yes, this problem can occur on v7r1 as the base issue is with Domino 8.5.2
regardless of OS platform or version.
Separate PTFs are generated for v5r4 and v6r1 to avoid delays in the
program conversion process. There are no new conversions needed between
v6r1 and v7r1, so any PTFs created for v6r1 can be applied to later IBM i
versions.

Any idea if this issue still occurs on IBM i v7.1? If so then it seems
that there is no PTF available for it on the Fix Central site. Can you
confirm this?
Thanks,

It is a known issue that will be included in Fix Pack 1 for 8.5.2, but
there is also a PTF on Fix Central for this issue. It is identified as
Interim Fix 1 for Domino 8.5.2.
This SMTP CPU issue is documented in technote 1445280 which contains a
download link to Fix Central and a list of each OS platform PTF.

Did I catch something a number of weeks ago on 8.5.2 SMTP server task
running wild??
I've caught it at times taking 100+% of processor.
Is it a known bug / fix available or do we have to wait for 8.5.2 FP1 in
December?
