Currently we have about 50,000 potential user licenses on IBM i in 1 week. We need 200,000 potential for IBM to do anything about it. There's no commitment to buy, just a commitment to not run Sametime/Connections on anything BUT i.

There are a number of heavy hitters in the Lotus and IBM i worlds involved, both inside IBM and out, fighting for and against. Who's to say Domino won't be removed from support next? "We can all run it off Linux guest partitions, can't we?" That's the party line regarding Connections and half the new Sametime components.

IBM is taking notice. I ask you folks to please fill the form out.

Thanks.

Please do take the time to fill out the form Steve has put together. IBM
will only listen if they get a certain number of requests, and the
requests need to come from customers. If there isn't enough of an
outpouring from the IBM i community clamoring for these products to be
supported on the IBM i, they will continue to only be supported on Windows
and Linux.

Steve is a one of the IBM Champions for IBM collaborative solutions, so
anything we can do to help him in his quest to build support for more
Lotus products supported natively on the IBM i, the better. He is in a
position where he actually has IBM's ear.

Thank you!

Hi folks,

Currently there is no full support for the latest versions of Sametime,
Connections and Lotus Notes Traveler on IBM i and I want to change that.
To clarify, most of Sametime does run natively however other components
such as the Sametime Media Manager (audio/video) only runs on Linux,
Windows, etc.

Would you be interested in filling out a small form that I'm circulating
which will be forwarded on to IBM Sametime and Connections product
managers? If so, I'd appreciate it.
