For Home Sametime Server parameter, it just be used under multiple Sametime
servers environment, such as Invited env or Distributed env; if your
Saametime server is a standalone server, the parameter is not needed.

For Membership attribute, it is only needed when the user is a member of a
group. And different LDAP type have different value for this parameter. For
example: the Member attribute for IDS LDAP is member, but the attribute for
SunOne LDAP is uniqueMember. It depends what kind of LDAP server you are
using.

Here is the detailed guide for how to configure LDAP for Sametime. Hope it
is helpful.

Actually, Gab has a ton of info on Sametime WAS installs. She did like 20
or 30 upgrades this summer.

There's a great LDAP help document available I referenced when I set this
up...I'll see if I can find a link to it.

Pretty sure Gabriella Davis has a reference to it on her blog.

In Sametime Server Console I am trying to configure ldap. It is asking me

for a "LDAP base entry".
qsHell allows me to do this
ldapsearch -h ldap02.dekko.com -b "O=DEKKO" -s one "cn=*guebard*"
so I figured enter in "O=DEKKO". Says I have to enter in Advanced stuff.
Ok. For Home Sametime server: I enter in sametimeserver. What do I enter

in for Membership attribute?

Also, what about this error?
AIDSC0091E: LDAP configuration failed validation:
- User object class: inetOrgPerson

ldapsearch -h ldap02.dekko.com -b "O=DEKKO" -s one "cn=*guebard*"
