You can extract compressed files on i by going into Qshell, changing the
directory to the location of the compressed file, and running the command
jar ?xvf example.zip.

Subject:
zipping up of save files
I wish IBM would stop zipping up save files. If I order a hot fix for
Domino IBM will zip it up. The zipping only shaves off 3%. The size of
the zip file was 159,756,960 bytes and the save file was 156,013KB. Since
it was zipped up I had to download it to a PC and then unzip it and then
transfer it to my i. Maybe it would be different if they were shoving
readme's and whatnot in there but they weren't.
