Each Domino release is installed in a separate library. PTFs are applied
to those specific libraries. Since Domino 8.5.3 will be utilizing library
QDOMINO853 and 8.0.2 uses QDOMINO802, there is no need to take any action
on any prior Domino release PTFs.
Domino on IBM i Hotfix PTFs usually have the naming convention L50xxxx for
V5R4 and L60xxxx for V6R1/V7R1.

Hi Gerry,
No, you do not need to uninstall the fix pack you have installed. You can
upgrade to 8.5.3 and install the latest FP for that release without having
to uninstall.
Fix packs and hot fixes are two different things. Fix packs are made
generally available to all customers, hotfixes are fixes that you can
typically acquire only by calling IBM Support. You can do a DSPTF on your
Lotus Domino product level and determine if you have a fix pack or hotfix
installed. All fix packs you have installed will be listed as FPxxxxx,
all hotfixes will be listed as HFxxxxx.
I hope this helps.

I have R8.0.2 FP5 installed on V6R1.
I am planning to upgrade to R8.5.3 so that we can upgrade to V7R1.
Do I need to uninstall FP5 prior to installing R8.5.3 ?
I plan to permanently apply PTF's before going to V7R1, but was informed
to
not permanently apply hot fixes.
