I'm no lotus developer. Been awhile since I've so much as created a view
to see a different sort.
The problem I am trying to solve is that the lotus developers are reading
a directory and processing files in that directory.
Well, when that directory is a NFS mount on to another server it leaves a
lock on it. I am trying to get processing set up so that when the ERP
server (the one EXPORTing the mounts) switches from primary to backup that
the Domino servers follow along to the new server. A simple DNS change
isn't the fix. You have to UNMOUNT and MOUNT. iNav IFS capability shows
the mount. And says it's being used by AMGR. I asked the developer if
the script is supposed to close the directory when done reading it (which
makes me think of Scott Klement API's to read IFS files and directories).
He is telling me that he just calls the list function once with directory
to get it started and then again with out the parameter and it passes one
file at a time. When he gets a blank file name he knows he is done. I am
wondering if that agent should be passing some other parameter that says
close the directory list. Is there such a beast?
