Thank you Patrick. That's a big help. I hate to lock things down so
tight that you can't get anything done. For example, our network guy
thinks pings should be blocked. Others say that if you know what you are
doing then you can allow pings but still block the concerns with this. I
feel that if nra.org allows pings and they were a valid concern then some
freedom hating hacker would have hit that site by now.

And as far as the https versus http goes, that's probably a valid
observation. It's just not a priority. I know, you're thinking "you're
kidding, right? You're bothering my time with http trace but can't
prioritize https?". I hear you.
