IBM does a security scan on our company.
Get this report back.
They list our IP addresses, what services they have, their OS, what
vulnerabilities we should address, etc.
So they say the OS running our IBM i Domino based web sites is: "FreeBSD
6.2-RELEASE".
Um, okaaaaaayyyy...
Of course I also love it when IBM says our DNS bind level is obsolete and
prone to attack and the people from IBM i say no it isn't because all the
CVE's associated with that level of bind are for java based DNS and theirs
is C based.
Well, maybe if they didn't think we were running "FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE"
they could differentiate?
Upon further checking it's not just the Domino stuff on IBM i they think
is running "FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE". Apparently our IBM i dns servers are
being flagged with that OS also.
