I have customers who are planning upgrade projects for next year. In the course of an email discussion with a Product Specialist at HCL about missing documentation, I asked "Did you get any information on the future of Sametime on System i?" and he responded "I did, and unfortunately HCL is not planning on new development for Sametime on System i."

On the other hand, one of our customers who runs Domino, Traveler, and Sametime on the i and who is working with support to get his entitlements fixed asked about Sametime on the i and was told by a tech that Sametime 10 is an oddity and will not be ported to IBM i but from what he is hearing Sametime 11 will be.

I've searched for info on HCL and other sites and haven't found any mention of future versions of Sametime on the i. Has anyone heard anything?
