Now, am I getting the java concept correctly:  Using the above model I
think Java looks like this:
                                               - Optional -
 Java client to -->Java Virtual machine--->(Java extensions)--->Hardware
                                                                 (AS/400)
                                                                 (Unix)
                                                                 (NT)
                                                                 (My
                                                                 refrigerator)
