I would *highly* recommend using a good quality, PC-based editor (Flex/EDIT, Codewright, etc.) and transferring the source to the AS/400. I've found this much, much faster to create cleanly laid out, properly working code. Your manager may be confusing the fact that you can create an RPG program and use it as a stored procedure, which is called via SQL (including embedded CALL, CLI, ODBC, or JDBC). If you have the SQL Dev. Kit, you can also embed SQL statements in the RPG program. But this would not be using the standard SQL syntax for the entire body of the stored procedure itself. -- Paul +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
