I am able to start the RAWT on my desktop. Unfortunately, when > I run the java TestFrame from my AS/400 I get the following error. > Remote-AWT version is rawt_1.1_0_jdk1.1.7 > (RAWT1012010) > Remote-AWT cannot start. > Local host does not have a local host IP address. > Consult your system administrator if needed. Hmmm... I presume you copied the RAWTGui.zip from /QIBM/ProdData/Java400/jdk117 on the AS/400, and put it in the CLASSPATH ahead of the regular classes.zip, eh? (Seeing your PC command-line invocation might help me here.) And, to help further, I'm probably going to need to see the actual AS/400-side JAVA command invocation to look at the properties you are specifying. As near as I can tell, the most-likely culprit in your problem is the value you are specifying for the RmtAwtServer property (this specifies the name or IP address of the PC 'serving' the actual 'glass'). What value are you specifying there? Can you go to QCMD and "ping" that value, as-is? Just a couple more puzzle pieces. :) -blair +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
