Hello everyone, I've done some servlet programming in the past (more than a year ago) When trying out a simple servlet that reads the contents of a data area and gives an overview of the user libraries I receive the following error in the generated web page: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission 10.1.1.4:449 connect, resolve) I checked and double-checked my user profile, password etc...but can't find a solution. I used the code in a standalone application and this works fine Has java security been changed for servlets opening socket connections? I'm using the Java Web Server 2.0 as a test environment Thanks for helping out... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- Geert Van Landeghem Reynders Etiketten gvl@reynderseti.be (Office) hydra@vt4.net (Home) 03/460.12.56 (Office) 0477/759.533 (GSM) <<Give me the power to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can change, the insight to tell the difference>> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
