Hi
I use this code to fill a buffer from a dataqueue:
  private DataQueue dq = null;
  private byte[] buffer = null;
                .
                .
                .
    DataQueueEntry dqe = null;
    while (dqe == null) {
      try { dqe = dq.read(-1); }
      catch(InterruptedException e) { throw e; }
      catch(Exception e) {
        System.out.println("Connection to AS400 died:"+e.getMessage());
        buffer = null;
        return;
      }
    }
    buffer = dqe.getData();
read(-1) makes the queue wait until something popsup. The only problem I
have had with this wait is that you get a 2 sec delay if the queue has been
idle for a while.

Subject: Dataqueue Help
Hello,
I am using a while loop to read a dataqueue and am having a problem when I
empty the queue of records. I keep getting an exception when the read() is
executed after all other records have been read.
Does anyone know where I could get an example of reading data queues in a
loop environment? The examples in the tool box manual show a "wait on the
queue" technique or just a straight read. How do you handle the exception?
Thanks in Advance!
