Servlets IS java indeed, but NOT "a fancy shmancy "engine"". Servlet IS an java
API. Servlets runs inside a servlet engine, and ARE portable across servlet
engines if you comply to the servlet specifications. Are your RPG or COBOL
programs portable?

What do you meen by consistency, and how do you separate logic from
presentation in your CGI programs?
