Hi.

If there is an issue, the limitation is on the remote (Sybase ) db.
An As/400 Java app can use jdbc to connect to a remote rdb using
2 methods:

1) drda
    only ibm db2 supports drda

2) jdbc client support

For jdbc client support to work, the remote rdb usually needs to be defined
as a "system data source" that allows remote connections. Foxpro db for
instance doesn't do that. My GUESS is Sybase would support that connection
model so you should be able to use the JdbcOdbc driver and a valid url to
connect to the remote Sybase database ok....

Is it possible to use JDBC under WebSphere (AS400, V4R5) to connect to
a Sybase DB (ASE v11.9.2 or 12.0)? I'd like to be able to link to both
DB's (AS400 and Sybase) in various servlets.

Any help is appreciated,
