Subject: Dates returned from stored procedures

I have a SQL Stored Procedure running on V5R1. The stored procedure
returns a result set that includes dates. However, when I retrieve the
date using getDate() it returns a strange date (1991-8-20 for today's
date). When I retrieve the data using a regular select statement from the
appserver and use the getDate() it returns the correct date. I made sure
that on the compilation I set the date format to *ISO and even used the
SET OPTION DATFMT = *ISO in the stored procedure, but I am still getting
a different date. I'm sure it something that I'm just overlooking . . .
