How did you put text into your mail message if you commented out the text
field? And are you able to send an attachment?

I noticed you commented out the EVAL for TEXT. I went back into my program
and commented out
the same and also commented out:
C* Eval filename= '/qdls/fkany/hello.txt'
With those commented out I was able to receive an email using the JavaMail
API.
