Look closer. Virtually all of the information on that page can be run
locally without an iSeries.
WDSC comes with a number of tutorials for designing web apps, web services
etc. All of the tutorials can be run on your PC completely.

Thanks Mark,
but as I told, my company is not interested in Ws development and I cannot
download anything on our as/400. Therefore I would like to implement and
run the whole thing on pc platform (server, development tool, etc) without
any as/400 connection.

Subject: Getting started with WebSphere
My primary job is only concerned with rpg and my company is not interested
with new tecnologies, but I would like to start learning something with
WebSphere - for my own at home - (platform Windows XP).
I've seen there there are many downloadables for trial, redbooks, articles
but I'm a little confused.
Does someone can give me a suggestion on where I can start start from ?
Thanks.
Adele.
