I have noticed that in a pc dos shell I can send a PDF file to a PC network atached printer, using something like : c:> copy thepdf.pdf > 172.16..... So I would guess, (never tested), that if you had a java lpd and lpr, you might be able to send the raw pdf file to that printer, and have the printer print the file for you, instead of you trying to render it your self... Just a thought... > -----Original Message----- > From: java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [SMTP:java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] > On Behalf Of Ashish Kulkarni > Sent: Monday, November 17, 2003 12:24 PM > To: Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 > Subject: Re: printing PDF from IFS on AS400 > > Hi, > this link gives info about creating a PDF file, i am > able to create a PDF file and now i want to print it. > Are there any IBM api for printing from IFS?? > or i have to buy a thried party product for doing so > > Ashish > --- Patrick L Archibald > <Patrick.Archibald@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Here is my favorite: > > > > > http://search400.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid3_gci847978,00.html > > > > Thanx, PLA > > > > Ashish Kulkarni wrote: > > > > >Hi, > > >is there a way to print PDF created in IFS on AS400 > > >through AS400 printer, > > >I have a program which creates a PDF file in IFS, > > is > > >there a way to print it?? > > > > > >Ashish > > > > > >__________________________________ > > >Do you Yahoo!? > > >Protect your identity with Yahoo!
