JasperReports PDF files generated on the AS/400

    Hi Everyone,

    I've run into a stumper, especially given extremely limited time.  I've
written several reports using iReports/JasperReports.  I'm developing on a
Windows box and output to PDF.  I've left the font to the default, which is
Helvetica.  Everything looks fine.

    I put the .jasper file on the '400, and a servlet running under
WebSphere generates the PDF report.

*Characters and words are getting truncated.*

About the only thing I can think of so far is that the font
metrics for whatever is selected as the Helvetica equivalent on the 400
differ from those of the font used on Windows.  I believe the metrics return
wider values and causes the truncation.  Try explaning that to a
non-techie...

    So, a couple of questions:  Obviously the first is, has anyone run into
this before?  Any resolution?

    Do I have blinders on and could something else be causing it?

    I have Googled quite a bit but haven't seen anything, it's difficult to
get the right combination.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
