Okay, I checked my code and now I remember why I did what I did: because I
couldn't figure out the spooled file classes <grin>.  Instead, I copy the
spooled file to a physical file using *SPLCTL and then process the resulting
physical file.  *SPLCTL puts space and skip information in the first four
characters of each record.
