and we have been happy with the results. Most of the commercial (and non-commercial) iSeries utilities that I have seen are based on Lowagie's iText PDF library (http://www.lowagie.com/iText)

Is there any open source utility that would create
spool file into PDF file on AS400, 
It can be in Java or RPG, 
It should create a spool file in IFS system
