Sorry for the size, this is what I got from my IBM business partner... We are on a 520- P20 level.

I'm not going to do all the what-ifs. Please, please read the article I posted. I spent a lot of time on it.

But here's a little look at a P20:

5722WDS is $22,900. A single seat for ILE compilers and ADTS (PDM/SEU) is $2600. So if you have, say, eight developers, your price for a brand new machine would be $20,800, or actually a little less. If you are currently on maintenance, a P20 license entitles you to 12 seats (although I think they may have upped that number). However, that comes out to about $31,000, so your SWMA will go up (from 20% of $22900 to 20% of $31000, or from $4600 to $6200).

Now that's for ADTS. If you want to move your ADTS entitlements to RDi, IBM has said there will be a transfer capability. It won't cost you the full $795, nor will it be free. It will be somewhere in between. Of course, if you're a new client, you have a choice: ADTS or RDi.

It's not simple. It is best if you read my article, sit down and do the math for your particular situation.
