I am indeed an i5 professional, or at least I claim to be ;-) I usually
write in RPG, but I'm fairly young and want to have options in case anything
ever happens I want something to fall back on and I really like Java, or at
least what I have learned.

I appreciate all the advice. Yes, persistence is my next task. I have
written a data caching bean to store the results of a SQL resultset, I'm not
totally pleased with it. Out of curiosity would you suggest EJB's or
anything like that? I was going to start to do some tutorials on those, but
just haven't had time yet.
