So if I understand you correctly, you have the application running in
Websphere, but _not_ on i. Perhaps WebSphere on Windows, or on Linux, or
whatever... Now you need to invoke some of the functionality in that
application from a "native" i program, correct? Why not expose that
functionality via a web-service and then just invoke your webservice
from RPG? You could call the service directly, or you could invoke it
via a shim java class and just call the java class from RPG. It seems
silly to me to have two copies of the actual application, one on
Websphere and one on i.
