I doubt you'll ever discern any difference; I've not noticed any.

Subject: Best way to code SQL query in web application

I have a question about writing SQL query in web application, Which of
the following is more efficient and why

select col1, col2, col3 from myschema.mytable;

where i can specify myschema in a properties file and use it in my
application or hard code it

OR

select col1, col2, col3 from mytable;

and set my JDBC connection with correct library list so it will resolve
where the table is at run time.

I would like to know in respect to performance, would letting connection
know the schema will be faster or making it search in library list will
be fater

Any ideas
