Yep, we did verify the path was set correctly and correct JVM had loaded.

On IBM i 7.1, JAVA_HOME is still needed by J9. As for the class path
issue, you can use WRKJVMJOB (opt 32) to generate a javacore. It would
tell you which JDK is using and what's the exact CLASSPATH is using.
