I've published an open source language wrapped around JTOpen and some other
APIs. I've been using it for 3 years now to write i Series OS systems
programming stuff on Java on Linux/Win/Mac for support people who don't
green-screen. It also supports z/VM SMAPI for z mainframes.
Ublu Midrange and Mainframe Life Cycle Extension Language (Open Source BSD
license) source can be fetched from
https://github.com/jwoehr/ublu
All you need is the JDK (1.7 and above ... maybe 1.6) and Apache Ant to
build it.
The docs are kinda terse. I will write more if the community finds Ublu as
useful as we have found it to be.
Regards, Jack Woehr
