I changed the path so it has the bin subfolder. No joy. It's still asking
for an app to run .jar files.

A bazillion posts ago I stated "jdk-11.0.1+13-jre" is the folder I got
when
I unzipped the OpenJ9 download and you said that's the JRE. So that's
what
I put in the path.

5) I added C:\java\jdk-11.0.1+13-jre to the Path.

"C:\java\jdk-11.0.1+13-jre" or "C:\java\jdk-11.0.1+13-jre\bin"?

FWIW: I still recommend putting the JRE in the acs directory so you
don't
have to depend on what version of Java is installed, where it is, and
if
it's on the path.

And, with that, I'll stop harping on it. :)
