I think Pete was talking about system API's (like Q* programs).

Having the last look at PCML, it was very limited.

PCML is anything but limited ... it's extraordinarily powerful.

It is, however, a bit complex to setup for some of the more involved API's. Especially those that use offset's in the returned buffer space.

Once the PCML is defined, all those offsets are automatically handled.

Basically, anything you can do with a normal program call in RPG, you can do with PCML.
