FWIW, after all the IBM cases were resolved my Java issue remained.

The code has always used a Scanner object for reading text files. I've
been unable to find any reason why at 7.5 it ends before the file is fully
read. I even copied the text file to the root file system, but the issue
remained. I tried a BufferedReader class instead, and it seems to work
OK. I'm just going to rewrite using BufferedReader.
