I've never been able to duplicate it. Is this under FreeBSD (you mentioned that you installed the ncurses library, which is why I ask). If you could get me the distribution name and version, the version of ncurses, the output of `ldd /usr/local/bin/tn5250` and see if you can create a tracefile, that would cover all the bases and I might be able to get some idea of what's going on. I'm also curious as to whether or not the cursor moves when you type. You might also want to try the S/Lang terminal instead of the curses terminal - try to configure the package with the '--with-slang' option, compile, and test. This uses a whole different peice of code to draw the screen. -Jay 'Eraserhead' Felice On Tue, Dec 07, 1999 at 01:33:30PM -0500, Brian Arb wrote: > My problem... > My input from the Keyboard is not displayed in the console. > The keys I normally use to move from one field to the next doesnot seem to be > working either. > Normally the console will echo back to me the user name I type in then, I'll >use > the TAB key to move down to the password field that is not echo in the >console then > once the password is entered the ENTER key logs me in.
