You actually need to do both. Even if you specify *EPLX810, the AS/400 will still embed SCS control characters in the print stream. The scs2ascii command will remove these characters and leave the commands for the EPSON printer intact. Here is the command (This is using the new print daemon in CVS): lp5250d -s MMPRN01 -T "*EPLX810" -P "scs2ascii | lpr" <host> If you still do not get the result you want, you may need to create your own workstation customization object. This allows you to change things like fonts and letter quality vs. draft. Let me know if you need more help.
