These weren't my words I was just relaying a message because I almost thought it was a joke post ( I had thought about posting one myself) -----Original Message----- From: tonyl@vextech.net [mailto:tonyl@vextech.net] Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2001 8:39 AM To: linux5250@midrange.com Subject: Re: [LINUX5250] Keyboard Just an observation, but maybe the documentation needs updating? It's pretty poor - if you're honest about it. More so when you take into account that those using tn5250 will probably be used to IBM's standard of documentation. The fact the people have to plough though mailing list archives searching for clues to recurring questions should be enough to demonstrate something is lacking. E.g. The README gives tn5250's homepage as a page that doesn't exist, and the doc dir just indexes up source. How about a mini-HOWTO that shows new users how to configure the product to the point where a real 5250 user can seamlessly use tn5250's sessions without all of the associated fuss of keyboard mapping, fonts, window size, et al?
