tn5250 works fine in linux but on Windows no matter which font I've selected bold characters appear as standard characters boxed in with | at either side.
These lines are called "column separators", and they have nothing whatsoever to do with the font. You can turn them off by adding a configuration directive to TN5250's config file.
To do that: a) Click Start->Run. Type the following command: notepad c:\program files\tn5250\tn5250rc (If you installed TN5250 to a different directory, use that directory name instead of c:\program files\tn5250) b) Add the following line of text to the start of the tn5250rc file that you just opened: colsep_style=none c) Click File->Save to save your chnages. d) If TN5250 is already open, you'll have to close it and re-open it to see the changes. --- Scott Klement http://www.scottklement.com
