I emphasized the Shift+F9 to get the "Command Entry" in the debugger, thinking that maybe there was a new special key assigned to that combination in Ubuntu 8.10. But, now I'm beginning to think it's the way the screen is displayed, because the "Command Entry" provides a sub window to enter the command.
I also have an RPG program that calls Java and displays a debug screen, which works fine on my Windows PC at work, but doesn't display on my Ubuntu 8.10 computer at home.
